A detail of these corners from the 1912 Baist real estate map. The Rainier Club with First Methodist combine for the largest red footprint at the center. The Bennet’s property is still distinguished with footprints for the family home, its hotel-apartments, and an shed on the corner used sometimes for light manufacturing. The two brick structures across Marion Street – on its north side – show, in part, in the photograph that follows this one, which was taken from the Y.M.C.A. .
