Hopefully some of you will remember “Our Daily Sykes” the daily series of picturesque west coast Kodachromes snapped by Horace Sykes, a claims adjuster. This subject, which he titled “Ice left after Columbia Cold Storage Fire, April 5, 1944.” is a rare instance of work related subject to be found among the thousands of mostly picturesque slides he left of the
American West. You might, we hope, wish to find Sykes here again, for some of you. The daily series ran for 499 days. We stopped there so that we could later fulfill our promise for 500.
