Here, perhaps, is an expression of Horace Sykes “Buddha-nature” with three cranes – especially – standing to their knees in a tideland raked by waves like a Zen garden, watching the horizon for a flower lesson and a liberation from suffering in the suffereing of all sentient beings, cranes and distracted seagulls included.
