Big Tree and Elaborate Decorations Win Admiration
It’s winter time — but there’s warmth and cheer reflected everywhere. Everyone has that Christmassy feeling. It’s in the air. The Times was among the first to catch it and forthwith ordered its Christmas tree and Yuletide decorations for its home. Thousands of persons have been attracted by The Times tree and decorations. Many have considered it worth while to make special trips to Times Square to view the decorations, particularly at night when hundreds of red, green and white lights twinkle merrily from evergreen foliage. The decorations at night are shown with the illuminated tree towering in the foreground above the statue of John H. McGraw, former governor of Washington, and the artistic decorative scheme carried out over the main entrance of The Times Building on Fifth Avenue in the background.
