WW 2021 11-22 Shirley Wright and shirt108

Standing in the Magnolia village, Shirley Wright, who taught at what was called Ruth Prins Primary School from 1974 until Ruth’s retirement in 1980, displays a school t-shirt while wearing one of Ruth’s necklaces made of bells. “She jingled,” Wright says. The name of the school contained the word “primary,” reflecting Ruth’s advocacy for early childhood education. (Clay Eals)
