NOW1: To celebrate the city’s historic movie theaters, 9 volunteers and staff from Historic Seattle stage their annual “heart bomb” during valentine’s week 2023 at the base of the Grand Illusion Cinema. Near the end of its 1937 namesake film, set in World War I, two soldiers speak its theme. “We’ve got to finish this bloody war. Let’s hope it’s the last,” says one.
