The Brunswich Hotel and Squire Opera House, left of center. The two story structure on the right is the same as that appearing directly below in a 1883 recording from the intersection of Main and Commerce, taken during the visit of Villard and his entourage of notables who were carried to the American Far Northwest on the first transcontinental of the Northern Pacific Railroad. Villard brought it to completion.
