Days before the Alaskan Way Viaduct opened to traffic in 1953, pedestrians were given a chance to walk it first. This view of Colman Dock on the right with the Kalakala was, most likely, photographed by Horace Sykes. (There is a slimmer chance that Robert Bradley was the photorgrapher.)
