A copy – it seems – of the fateful 1873 telegraph received in Seattle by Arthur Denny informing him that the Northern Pacific had made up its mind to make its Puget Sound terminus on Commencement Bay rather than in Seattle, or Port Townsend or Olympia or Steilacome.
