Years ago – perhaps 1995 – while photographying St. James for a book, I noticed that at least from the parking lots at the southwest corner of 9th Ave. and Columbia Street, the sanctuary had managed to make a lantern out of the Cabrini highrise on Boren Street south of Madison.
