But certainly to be related to and visit with the Terry Pettus park nearby at the foot of Newton Street. I lived also nearby on Newton in the late 1960s (when I was not living in a houseboat also near by) but this park picture I took sometime, I believe, in the mid-1980s. Pettus was the old depression-time radical journalist who later became the great champion and protector of floating homes – when they were still affordable.
