Another of the few captioned slides left by Horace Sykes. He wrote on the cardboard frame of this Kodachrome slide "Winter color in Wyoming." The least populated state in the U.S. is yet big - the 10th biggest. And so it has the lowest density of any state - excepting Alaska. Wyoming has lots of landscape. (Click to Enlarge)

I love this one. Possibly one of my favorite Sykeses that you’ve presented so far. The sweep of color leads my eye up to that tantalizing vale in the upper left corner. Maybe there are blueberry bushes with huge blueberries in that place.
