Our Daily Sykes #297 – Yesler Way East From the Viaduct, 1953

This is another of Horace Sykes looks into the city and the waterfront during his and others pre-vehicular access to the viaduct in the spring of 1953.  This one looks east on Yesler Way.

  1. It would have been interesting to walk up Yesler before the freeway ploughed up the neighborhoods on either side of it and before the Seattle Hotel was torn down. A nice shot, very evocative light.
